saturday with olive

We had an easy, relaxing day today.
Starting with a trip to the beach.
Olive was a little unsure at first...

But Uncle Rube showed her what to do and she got the hang of it!

Then Olive and Uncle shared a vanilla ice cream cone.

ice cream tongues!!!!

Olive capped off the day with a bully stick in the sun in the back yard.  Ahhh - this is the life!!!

  1. Olive looks so happy in that last pic! What a wonderful day for a dog who started out with such slim chances of ever seeing life beyond the shelter walls again!

  5. Looks awesome!

Can you recommend a local beach for a dog that needs a little bit of space from dogs she doesn't know. I have wanted to take my girl to the beach but would hate to get somewhere only to find that it's a dog park environment. We do not do dog parks! But we want to do what Olive and Rube are doing with our pack!

  6. I missed hearing about Olive and was a little concerned about her. Great to see her splashing in the waves! Wish I could be there, too.

    1. Concerned because I wasn't sure if she was going to "make it." Had a great session yesterday with Kelley Gorman Dunbar on Open Paw. They are in Bezerkly also.

  7. I volunteer at the shelter where Olive came from and have followed her progress at BadRap. She has come so far and my heart is just filled with joy for her. Bless you all.
