Nita's been on "medical leave" from the barn. Her sensitive little toes were reacting so badly to the grasses, prickles and pollens of the barn yard that we moved her into Tim's art studio so they could get a break.
Elliot is just thrilled to have a live-in playmate and now it's the hardwood floors that are taking a beating as they thunder around like crazed roller derby babies. Here she is helping me try out my new camera. Say Cheese, Nita!
They do make a nice looking couple!
ReplyDeleteAw, remember when just a little bit ago Elliot was introducing her to the joy of other dogs? I'm glad to hear that they are roller-derbying all over the place. It may be a trifle hard on the floors, but nothing's too good for sweet Miss Nita's paws, right?
ReplyDeleteI don't know why we call them "blues" when they spend most of spring and summer PINK under that fur. She's beautiful!
ReplyDeletedo you guys do anything to help Nita's paws? the reason I ask is that my Staffie has a grass allergy too and I haven't been able to find anything to help him and I feel horrible for the pain he has.
ReplyDeleteHi Megan - Our best defense is benadryl to treat the symptoms + limiting her exposure to the grass. We're also helping her get healthy again via diet, supplements and rest - which will improve her immune system so her body can handle the allergins. Thankfully she doesn't lick her feet, or we'd have even more work to do since that can invite yeasty ick.
