I hoped she enjoyed tearing every puffy piece out! Just one question--what was it? I see a hand and some legs... Here's hoping Miss Birdy enjoys many more days like this!
Birdy, I've been gone for a couple of days and just read that you have lymphoma. Man... do I know about lymphoma! My Jack passed away 1 year ago this month from that nastiness, after we did the whole chemo thing and he was in remission for 13 months. But chemo is tough and not for everyone, and honestly, the outcome is the same.
So we're thinking of you Miss Birdy and asking Jack to help you live large and soak it all up while you can. He focused on Living with Lymphoma and didn't think otherwise until the very end. And then he came back and showed me the utter joy that was awaiting him. It was an incredible and unexpected gift.
The thing I learned about lymphoma is that it doesn't hurt. If there is a silver lining, that's it. Sleep a lot, eat as much as you can, and enjoy those butt scratches and tummy rubs. And when the time comes, I'll ask Jack to keep an eye out for you.
I love that face! I do believe I see a little sparkle of mischief in those mismatched eyes!
