three little explorers

While Donna & Tim were handling serious rescue business in Idaho, 3 young barn pups decided to do a little exploring led by the ever curious Gum.

Hey Sammy, Elton - somebody's staying here.  Who could it be?

I wonder if there are any cookies in there.

Come on, let's see if we can get in and check it out!

Hmmm - I don't see any cookies here.

Sammy, Gum - here's a nice bowl of cold water!

Mmmmm - slurp, slurp, slurp.

Golly, I wonder what's up these stairs?  Sammy, I'm gonna do it, I'm going on up.

I'm coming too, Gum!

Oh no, it's kinda scary up here!  I wanna go back down Sammy, out of my way

Oh Elton, I'm so ashamed...I just couldn't do it - it was too scary up there!

Sammy...are you OK?  Come down and play with us.

Hey look guys, I can see the barn!!

Ah ha! I think I found the cookies!!

Someone's coming?  Oh quick, let's get outta here!

OK - this is more like it!  Dog Mountain's so much more fun than scary cabin stairs, I don't care what Sammy says!

  1. Dearest Gum, there is a fine tradition of excellent BAD RAP dogs that have been frightened by those very same stairs! Your cute curiousness is going to keep your forever family on their toes, that's for sure!

  6. I just want to thank all of you for the wonderful work you are doing and please keep doing it. Pit bulls are so misunderstood and have been used and abused for decades. This home that you have created for them is the most beautiful, happy interim home I have ever come across. What a fantastic place and people! I do not live in California otherwise I would happily become part of the team- I live to make my dogs happy and I fight to change laws and attitudes towards the American Pitbull/Staffordshire Terrier breed. I will hopefully be sending you a donation shortly, some recent medical expenses are delaying today. God Bless
PS. The photos and videos are entertaining and hopeful. I greatly appreciate the training videos as well.

  7. We donated to the barn-raising effort a few years ago, and for us it is a gift that continues to enrich our hearts. Today, a not-so-great day in which I looked for a reaffirmation of the good in humanity, I checked into BADRAP to find this page. It brings tears to my eyes, the good work you do for these dogs. Thank you so much. More than just the good for the dogs, you lift my spirits toward the best of people too.
