Jibboom turned up missing during pm shift today. Where'd she run off to?
Oh...
She went up to the loft in the cabin to have a little look-see, but she couldn't get back down. Ohhh Nooooo.
The stairs are still open and it's such a looooong way down. What to do? "Oh woe is me," whimpered Jibboom.
The ever-optimistic Gurdy jumped in to help. "Watch me Boom-Boom. It's easy! Just one step at a time, ya see?"
"Nooooooooo!" yawned Jibboom.
Jibboom was not convinced. That is one SCARY set of stairs. STOOPID cabin!
So she settled onto one of the beds and resigned herself to live in the loft forever. "I'm fine here. Don't worry about me. It's all good. Whimpeeeerrr!"
There was only one way to save the day. Elliot ran for top dog Tim to make it all better.
Oh how awkward!
Don't worry Jibboom. We won't tell anyone.
I lucked out. Another great blog and pictures. Just love it. These dogs truly melt your heart. Such beauty and innocence. Thanks again for putting a smile on people's faces along with helping these great dogs.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny when dogs learn to use the stairs. This blog is hilarious. You will get there Jibboom. You have Gurdy and Tim and Elliott to help you. Just priceless pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor girl! It's easy to forget that if a dog never sees stairs, they have no idea how to manage them. I once had a retired greyhound. The first time he saw stairs, he was utterly flummoxed. Thank heavens for Tim and Elliot!
ReplyDeleteawe Jibboom, what an adventure!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know that Paul's not the only one with stair challenges. He peed in terror of the 3 steps going into our ranch style house when he first saw them. And I know that the spca that had him had to use the elevator to get him between the 1st and 2nd floors. You'll get there Jibboom!
ReplyDeleteI concur...whoever writes this blog does a great job giving us a glimpse of these dogs' hilarious personalities and adventures. I get so attached! I love Jiboom--she is adorable. And so is her BFF, Gurdy.
ReplyDeleteI love how she just laid in the bed upstairs, waiting for someone to come and get her. And how sweet Gurdy tried to show her the way. Gurdy's deaf, right? She must have sensed that Jibboom was stuck up there. Too cute!!! Thanks for making me laugh and smile! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Jibboom.. Don't feel bad. Lots of canines out there fear the dreaded open stairs. I have a friend here who absolutely puts his brakes on at the sight of them! How'd you manage to get up there in first place? ;D
ReplyDeleteOh Jibboom as a kid I hated open stairs they scared me, as an adult I still don't like them they throw my depth perception off, but you will eventually master them. The pictures and editorial are too cute. :)
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly! I am a Jiboom fan and I thought she was small. Seeing Tim hold her I see that she is not!! Too funny!! Still a fan! Love her and love Gurdy!
ReplyDeleteWhen I got my first pitbull, a big black tanker of a dog, he saw the (closed) stairs and cried at the bottom. His smaller boxer-pit sister leapt up them, no problem. So he grit his teeth and made the climb. Brave boy! I just love this website. Tim and Donna capture the incredible spirit and spunk of pitbulls in photos and video. How can I love these dogs any more than I do? But I do always.
ReplyDeleteI want to come live in the cabin with these gorgeous gals. Just love them both:)
ReplyDeleteBaby steps BoomBoom! One day soon you will be working those stairs :)
ReplyDeleteIt took me a long time when I was a young'un to not be scared of open stairs, so I totally understand, Boom-Boom. I'm glad you've got good friends to encourage you and nice guys like Tim around who are willing (and able, you chunky girl!) to help you down when you need a hand.
ReplyDeletemy dog Marcus is seven years old, and I still have to carry all 76 pounds of him down dark or open stairs!
ReplyDeletethat was a very very funny story - and nice. poor boom boom,
ReplyDeleteKiki
