the photo of photos

We're moving a little slow it seems on sorting through the many wonderful photos snapped at the hoedown last Saturday night. But let's just cut to the chase. This video shows the making of the photo of photos. It includes seven the CA-transferred V-dogs with their parents, exactly five years after landing in California.

The evening weather was perfect, our photographer Mark Rogers was the best kind of job boss, the dog families were looking gorgeous and the dogs all seemed to know this day was all about them. More to come later as we pick apart the highlights of the event, but for you non-facebookers especially, here is the memory we will all carry forward.

  2. Absolutely priceless and hilarious video and picture. Thanks for making history again and making it fun. The five-year anniversary of the Vick dogs leaving the shelters to a happy ending. Amazing. These dogs make people smile. All you great people who helped these dogs and help them on a daily basis make people smile. Compassion, integrity and fairness about dogs and people in action. Hopefully dog fighting will be a thing of the past or so rare in the near future. Thanks to Bad Rap and all the people who helped these amazing dogs along the way. What a wonderful story, the saving of the Vicktory dogs. I can't imagine a world without these dogs in it. Looking forward to more pictures and videos.

  5. Mark Rogers is a miracle worker. I love the smiles on the folks and the dogs! My friends used to tease me that I knew all of the Chicago 7 (8) by name. I am proud to say the same of all of these Vick 7 dogs.
