  4. OMG I love the little brindle riding it. She keeps looking back "Is this ok to do". That pink and blue pawprint one seems to make a good sled!

  6. Good question Shannon.
We like when dogs follow our signals so they know what is and isn't okay to mess with. We allowed these two jailbirds to drag these pillow (which are actually dog beds) around while they were having fun, but would've removed and exchanged them for 'real' toys if they'd decided to start shredding. Every dog owner has their own tolerance level for what's okay to play with in their home. The important thing is to be really clear about what is and isn't off limits, and communicate that by having appropriate toys available. That way you can switch out when a dog wants to chew. Some homes use baskets to gather up the "dog's toys" so the dog knows these are his to do what he wants with. I hope that helps. By the way, tugging is a super fun game to play with your dog when you add rules ('sit' 'leave it' 'take' 'drop' or 'out'), although when two dogs are playing , be aware that not all dog pairs can handle the excitement of tug and sometimes arguments between them will break out - so use your better judgement for that game. Enjoy your new buddy!

  8. The barn blog always makes me happy, but it's been particularly welcome these last few days. My own dog is doing her best to help me get through a health crisis (see http://c-creativity.blogspot.com/2011/07/loyal-mutt.html), but the video of these two going nutty with the pillows brought a much-needed smile to my face. Thanks, dogs and people of Bad Rap!
